Stage 2 Actioning builds on your baseline measurement. To achieve this accreditation, you must demonstrate that you are actively expanding your emissions data, implementing evidenced reduction measures, and making meaningful progress against your targets.
Our panel reviews your Scope 3 methodology against the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, assesses the quality and completeness of your data, and checks that reduction actions are evidenced and quantified rather than aspirational. We confirm that your data quality improvement plan is in place and that renewable energy and operational measures are evidenced with supporting documentation.
Actioning supports full PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan compliance, meeting all five required Scope 3 categories plus extended significant sources. It aligns near-term targets with SBTi criteria (v5.3), meets B Corp Climate Action Year 0 requirements under the 2025 standards, and provides the Actions evidence (40% of score) for EcoVadis. It also supports NHS Carbon Reduction Plan requirements for NHS suppliers and meets NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment Module 2 criteria.
For qualifying organisations, Actioning data supports SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting) compliance. The expanded Scope 3 methodology is consistent with the principles of ISO 14064-1 for organisational GHG inventory reporting.
As larger customers prepare to report under the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (UK SRS, mandatory for listed companies from January 2027) and the EU's CSRD, they will require verified Scope 3 emissions data from across their supply chain.
