Net Zero Accreditation - Actioning

Accreditation Stage two - Actioning

Actioning builds on your baseline measurement. To achieve this accreditation, you must demonstrate that you are actively expanding your emissions data, implementing reduction measures, and working towards meaningful, evidenced progress against your targets.

How we assess it

At this stage, our panel reviews your Scope 3 methodology against the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, assesses the quality of your data, and checks that reduction actions are evidenced rather than aspirational.

What we look for

  • An annually updated carbon footprint with a year-on-year emissions comparison commitment
  • Expanded Scope 3 coverage, including the categories most significant to your sector and supply chain
  • A data quality assessment and a clear plan to improve the accuracy of your Scope 3 figures over time
  • Science-based or equivalent reduction targets covering both absolute emissions and intensity metrics
  • A Carbon Reduction and/or Climate Action Plan with evidence of operational reduction measures in place, not just planned

Actioning accreditation means your organisation has a fully compliant Carbon Reduction Plan, covering all required Scope 3 categories. It also aligns with recognised Sustainable Supplier Assessment criteria, giving you a meaningful credential for public and private sector supply chains.
